24hr metta, 2012

TSP_3477

It’s the first time I have heard of 24-hour metta. It sounds fresh to me and had been wondering for long what is it for. As the day came, a friend of mine gave me a ring asking a favor as volunteer photographer for this event, I agreed without hesitation.

Well, in fact it is really something different event after all, where as a buddhist event, it needs a lot of participation from the buddhist societies all over the places to have chanting hourly.  The day I entered the hall, I felt so calm. Once the chanting has started, the peacefulness came into my heart and stayed in. All after all, it’s a real great event, as I had omitted my 2 very-first-hand-reserved-tickets for 星雲法師的『大馬好』。In fact, I was struggling whether should I skip for the photoshoot session and go for the 大馬好, but i stood firm on my promise.

The wish blessed me, I helped out for this event and soon after the event ended, I got a link to view 大馬好 from start to end, no interruption in between. Greatly appreciated.

Sadhu, sadhu, sadhu.

Kinabalu Park, the accommodation provided by Sutera Sanctuary Lodge. This lodge ain’t cheap at all, but the environment, the accommodation is pretty good. This is 2 storey height lodge, 2 rooms, 1 room of double bed, and 1 room of 2 single bed. big living room right? They even provide BBQ, renting the equipment : RM80/-; each refil of charcoal: RM50/-

and guess what? we have this:

street artist

DSC_0249

It is normal to see street artist performing on the street, tube station. Yet, it is actually illegal for them to perform, and walk around to get ‘tips’. There was once, the performer had his performance on tube, then he walked around to collect ‘tips’ infront of a group of officer. the officer then approached him and brought him out of the tube at next stop.

Then only I know, they performing is as an entertainment, so should not COLLECT tips, but if people willing to give, they have to approach to him themselves. interesting eh?

But Malaysia, hardly get to see such big group performing on street. And, they are actually having their own legal album for sale! cool right!?!?

Sagrada Familia, Barcelona

Sagrada Familia, masterpiece of  Antoni Gaudi. view his details at wiki, click here. A brief story about this Sagrada Familia, the Roman Catholic church that yet to be completed for decades. It is expected to be completed on 2026.

Sagrada Familia from bottom view.

What’s the specialty of Sagrada Familia actually? Antoni Gaudi got all the ideas of the structures from nature, such as leaves, flowers, stems and etc. It is used to implement on inner roof design, outside design, tip of the roof (outside) and all.

The worker there, works 6 days a week and almost 10hours per day to finish up the construction work. 1 of the critical issues faced for the construction work is the fund is fully by donation, no government support at all. There are places for visitors to donate money if the visitors wanted. And yeah, pay to enter. =) tour-guide-headset-unit is provided so that self-guide tour would be fine and great. Interesting right? get a chance to get yourself there and donate some money too! *teehee*

Barcelona, Spain

When traveling, it is really tempted to capture everything seen with our eye into pictures as nice as possible, even thought of panorama shots. 1 of them is this that I have captured:

the stadium was under patching or something on the grass. If not mistaken, this is the stadium used for Olympic in Barcelona years ago.

To Europe, most of the time would need to explore their cathedral, for their cool and historical look and feel. I took some of them. Have some look:

1 of the statue in a cathedral, but couldn’t get to find out what this statue meant to be there. =X

the speech table for the priest I guess? but, this is located at 1 side for view. Not be used for long due to the historical value I think. =D

And of course, the cathedral glass which makes the cathedral attractive when u are inside it. its just too awesome to view them. Nice right? =D =D =D stay tune for more photos! =P
